Here, we highlight the Aliko2x SP6500-500 Heavy Duty press brake that was designed for a customer in the Czech Republic. Every Aliko press brake can be manufactured as a Tandem solution. The main benefit of choosing a tandem solution is having one long bending table as well as two separate press brakes with individual functions. The construction of a Tandem machine makes bending with a long bending table and high bending force possible without the need for a single tall and heavy machine. All this widens the range of bends made and the materials used while minimising the need for the installation location.
All the features of this Aliko 2x SP6500-500 Heavy Duty Tandem result in a multifunctional Aliko press brake that can be used for multiple bends in different angles and thicknesses and even with narrow bending sequences. Aliko 2x SP6500-500 Heavy Duty has a total bending length of 13 meters and 1,000 tons of bending force.
The machine features an extended daylight clearance of 900 mm and stroke of 600 mm. Throat depth is extended to 1000 mm, which makes wide bends with long sheets possible. In front of this press brake, there are standard front supports and heavy-duty sheet followers. Standard front supports aren´t connected to power sources, so they can be easily added or removed from the frame.
They can also be moved to a parking space located at the end of the bending table. Parking space is beneficial when bending big sheets into tight angles or with multiple bends. An added bridge at both ends of the bending table makes using an Aliko tool carriage possible so that upper tools can be changed without any heavy lifting by hand. On the back, there are robust 9-axis back gauges.
From one machine into two with a flip of a switch
Changing Aliko Tandem into two separate press brakes happens quickly with three easy steps:
- Start by removing the upper and lower tools from the section between the press brakes.
- Lower the Lazer Safe LZS-XL safety system from its housing and lock it into place.
- Flip the switch and change the CNC controls from a Tandem configuration to two individual machines.
